Hi, I’m Paul McEnery, a creative graphic designer with over 30 years of experience in the world of advertising, design and marketing communications.

Over the years, I’ve worked at some of the top agencies across the West Midlands, including a rewarding seven-year run as Creative Director at a full-service agency in Birmingham. I’ve led big campaigns, managed complex projects and helped bring creative solutions to life for both national and international brands.

But in 2015, I decided it was time to follow a lifelong dream of starting my own studio. And that’s how Dynamite was born.

Fully trained and qualified in graphic design, I learned the skills that are necessary to start work in the design and advertising industry. With two years at Bournville Art College in Birmingham, then a further two years at Derby University. Both considered at the time to be amongst some of the best places to go outside of London.

Achieving a distinction and winning first place with English Tourism Awards while I was at Bournville.

I began my career as a junior designer working on some prestigious clients and learning my trade from some of the best designers in the Midlands for my first 2 years. Progressing to Middleweight then Senior designer, where I learned client and print liaison skills. After 9 years in the business I become a studio manager responsible for organising the work flow and overseeing complete jobs within a busy Birmingham agency. My final progression after 8 years was to become creative director, overseeing and controlling all the agencies work.

This agency experience has been invaluable and has helped shape my skills as a designer. Though I am still evolving and learning everyday.
